Welcome to Beautiful Chaos Animal Sanctuary!

We are just a couple of animal lovers trying to change the world... maybe not the whole world...but the worlds of as many animals as we can!

Here are some resources on cruelty free products, organizations working to end animal testing, our vets, training helpers, as well as the rescues we adopted many of our friends from.

Just click on the photo to be sent to their website.

Resources:

Cruelty Cutter is a great resource to see if the product you want to buy is tested on animals.

Beagle Freedom Project is a fantastic organization working to end animal testing. They shut down the Envigo breeding facility and saved 4,000 dogs from laboratory testing.  They also converted a testing site into an animal sanctuary called Freedom Fields (where Blot is from). They have a huge network spanning the entire US to save animals from testing labs and relocate them to fosters and adopters in all regions.

Kindness Ranch is rescue that focuses on saving survivors of animal testing. They have yurts for cats, dogs, and rabbits where volunteers live and start to teach them how to be pets and decompress. They save animals as small as rabbits all the way to equines.

Pasture Pals Equine Rescue in eastern NC is where we got Harold, Forrest, and Wilson. Since covid, especially, they have been flooded with donkeys and horses that are sick and/or just unwanted. They do pony rides and other fundraisers to raise money for the animals.

Save Rocky is an organization that saves Great Danes from kill lists and rehabilitates them for adoption.  Their network is massive and they constantly post about 'last chance' animals and kind people come from all over to pull them from euthanasia lists and foster and adopt them. Great danes are a special breed and they need a lot of expertise when it comes to behaviors and medical conditions.

Mile High Lab Rescue is a Labrador rescue in CO. They also take in labs from neighboring states whose rescues are full.

Triangle Beagle Rescue is a beagle rescue in NC. They focus on the "tri state" area of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. They take in a variety of beagles; some are found, some are dumped retired hunting dogs, many are heartworm positive- but all of them need love.

Bunny Lu is a rabbit Rescue in VA that specialized in at-risk rabbits at shelters and occasionally owner surrenders. Many people don't realize how much of a responsibility rabbit ownership is and how long they live.

Cats at Play is a cat cafe in Asheville that fosters cats up for adoption. They work with Brother Wolf and Heart of the Foothills here in Asheville. It is a great way to socialize with kitties before picking one and the cats are living in a very happy and social environment. You can also hold parties there, such as birthday parties or bridal  showers.

Our Tiny Farm is a local farm where Forrest and Wilson stayed for a few months. They do donkey boarding and are wonderful mentors to us.

We have regularly worked with a canine behaviorist through Canine Cohesion.   We can't recommend Angie and their services enough! They also offer boarding through Happy Tails.

Zoe is a local dog trainer that helped us with our beagles.

Carolina Family Vet is our amazing vet! We love and trust Dr. Miller.

Montgomery Sky Farm located in Leicester, NC, is where we got Baby Otto. They do fantastic events and have a working farm.  You can pick vegetables, have a farm-to-table meal, pet highland cows, or visit all of their beautiful donkeys during events such as donuts and donkeys.

Asheville Equine Vet- Our fabulous equine vet that has helped us newbies learn how to care for our new babies!

Our patient farrier, Laurel. She has worked to hard to make our scared old boys feel comfortable.

We got our barn from Horizon Structures, thank you to the generosity of Caroline's parents Susan and Kurt.

Check out information on Burro Racing!!

We got our boy Tikkun from Piedmont Animal Rescue in Mooresville, NC. They did a fantastic job getting him ready to be adopted.

Our 4 pigs came from the Asheville Humane Society. They have lots of different species of animals for adoption.
