About Us
Our Story
We had a classic Brady Bunch start-- but with animals, not children!
Caroline had recently lost her canine best friend and had 1 dog, 1 rabbit, and 4 cats at the time. Ben had 1 dog and 2 cats. Together we rescued Jonah and then moved across the country with our 10 babies.
Once we settled in NC, our numbers started to grow. We have a soft spot for animal testing survivors (we currently have 4) and also hard to place animals that may have a difficult time being adopted. We purposely bought a property with land knowing this would be our future.
Caroline had been looking forward to having donkeys for years and now we have 3 mini donkeys and a miniature horse that was a surprise adoption decision once we saw his little face.
Do they get along?
We have a lot of personalities in the house, but at the end of the day- they are all friends!

Board of Directors
Just like all non-profits, we have a board of directors. We also have a CPA on board to help us keep our financials straight. We are very thankful to these people who are volunteering their time to help us help animals.
